The visit is 3½ consecutive days. Avoid weeks which may be vacation weeks for other schools in your general area. Avoid conflicts with teachers’ or administrative meetings or important school events. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are typically evaluation days. Evaluations are usually not scheduled after May 10 or November 10.

Please check the following items to indicate awareness of CTCI policies and procedures regarding the evaluation process:

  • Self-Study documents and instructions (on website
  • Adequate financial appropriation to cover the cost of evaluation (cost relates to the size of the school, the committee, and location)

The evaluation fee is equal to the annual membership dues.

**Each visiting team will be assigned a Chairperson, an Assistant Chairperson, and evaluators for Standard 5 (an administrator), and Standard 6 (guidance, and special education), in addition to the evaluators assigned to the following subjects and CTE programs.
